OPay Unveils New Ibadan Office to Boost Financial Inclusion

OPay Digital Services Limited has officially launched its new Ibadan office, reinforcing its commitment to expanding safe, accessible, and innovative financial services across Nigeria.

The event, held at OPay’s Ibadan branch in Oyo State, attracted business leaders, partners, merchants, agents, and media representatives. The new facility will serve as a strategic hub to enhance service delivery for merchants, SMEs, corporate clients, and millions of OPay users across the state.

Speaking at the launch, Elizabeth Wang, Chief Commercial Officer of OPay Digital Services, said the new office reflected the company’s dedication to customer satisfaction and nationwide expansion.

“The Ibadan launch represents an important step in our mission to bring world-class financial services closer to Nigerians. While many customers enjoy online convenience, a significant number still prefer in-person interaction. This office ensures that every customer—regardless of channel—can access reliable support and a seamless experience,” Wang said.

She noted that OPay currently operates 28 offices in 25 states, with the Ibadan branch being its first fully upgraded facility in the city. Renovations of all offices nationwide are planned for this year and next to maintain consistent service standards.

Wang also highlighted OPay’s emphasis on security and technology-driven solutions, including advanced protections like Face ID, ensuring safer transactions and a robust digital ecosystem.

Speaking alongside her, Odiase Ikponmwosa, Head of Partnership at OPay, emphasized that the new office strengthens OPay’s commitment to customers through enhanced support, stronger engagement, and improved collaboration opportunities.

The Ibadan facility is designed to accelerate issue resolution, deepen merchant support, facilitate product demonstrations, and serve as a hub for partner engagement. It also supports OPay’s broader mission of financial inclusion, empowering SMEs and young entrepreneurs with reliable, secure, and technologically advanced financial tools.

The launch marks another milestone in OPay’s nationwide expansion strategy, ensuring that Nigerians across the country have access to world-class financial services and support, both online and offline.
