Osun 2026: APM Sets Governorship Primary for December 13, 2025

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has announced that its Osun State governorship primary will take place on December 13, 2025, to select the party’s candidate for the 2026 elections.

In a statement on Friday, APM State Chairman Hon. Adewale Adebayo urged aspirants to maintain unity and avoid negative campaigning, assuring that the primary process would be conducted fairly.

Adebayo noted that six aspirants are currently vying for the party’s ticket, stressing confidence that whoever emerges will secure victory in the governorship race. “We believe our candidate will defeat the incumbent governor because our strength lies in the youth,” he added.

The party chairman also appealed to residents dissatisfied with the PDP, APC, and ADC, encouraging them to join APM. He said the party is committed to putting Osun State in a leading position among Nigeria’s states.

Highlighting youth engagement, Adebayo revealed that APM had registered thousands of new voters during the Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) and encouraged more citizens, especially youths, to join the movement.

He concluded with a call for ethical campaigning: “We urge all aspirants and members to avoid a campaign of calumny or hatred while canvassing for support ahead of the primary election.”
