Over 20,000 Candidates Sit for Nigerian Air Force Aptitude Test Nationwide

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has launched the zonal general aptitude test for the 2025 Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 46 Recruitment Exercise, attracting more than 20,000 applicants across the country.

The exercise is taking place at 15 zonal centres, including Sokoto, Minna, Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi, Maiduguri, Yola, Makurdi, Jos, Ilorin, Ipetu-Ijesa, Enugu, Benin, Port Harcourt, and Ikeja.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, said the nationwide spread reflects NAF’s commitment to inclusiveness, transparency, and merit-based recruitment, providing all qualified Nigerians the opportunity to compete fairly. He noted that the high turnout underscores the confidence Nigerian youths have in the Air Force as a professional, disciplined, and patriotic institution.

“The exercise also demonstrates our resolve to attract capable, motivated, and resilient young Nigerians, especially as the nation requires enhanced manpower to support internal security operations and national defence,” Ejodame stated.

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, reaffirmed that the recruitment process is anchored on fairness, integrity, and adherence to established standards. He emphasized that the aptitude test is vital for selecting mission-ready personnel, whose quality is essential to operational effectiveness and the successful execution of the NAF’s constitutional mandate.

“The Nigerian Air Force remains committed to recruiting the best candidates by merit. This ensures our personnel are well-prepared to support internal security operations and safeguard the lives and property of citizens,” Aneke added.
