PalmPay Warns Customers to Beware of Fraudsters

PalmPay Limited, a leading fintech platform, has urged its customers nationwide to be vigilant against scams and fraudulent activities.

The call was made by Managing Director Chika Nwosu during a road walk in Kano, aimed at sensitizing the public on how to protect themselves from online fraud.

Nwosu emphasized that while the number of fraud cases on the platform is decreasing, the company is committed to eliminating fraud entirely. He advised users to:

  • Verify links before clicking, especially on phones or social media.
  • Avoid clicking on suspicious or untrusted links.
  • Report any fraudulent activity encountered on the platform.

The MD explained that the campaign responds to complaints received via PalmPay’s platform, social media, and customer care lines, stressing that the effort to reduce fraud cannot wane even as incidents decline.

“Our objective is to eliminate it completely or bring it to zero level,” Nwosu said, highlighting the company’s commitment to a healthy and secure financial ecosystem.
