Reality TV star Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has denied claims that she has not received her N100 million Big Brother Naija grand prize, saying a viral clip circulating online was taken out of context.

During a Twitch livestream, Phyna explained that the clip was mischievously edited from a longer conversation. She clarified that she was responding to critics questioning her spending habits, not alleging that her prize money was withheld.

“They keep cutting my video. I never said I have not received my 100 million naira. I was only talking to people who asked me if the 100 million naira had finished,” Phyna said.

The controversy comes after Phyna previously raised concerns in 2024 about unpaid prizes, but she now urges bloggers and social media users to stop editing her videos, warning of potential legal action if misrepresentation continues.

Phyna also asked viewers to watch the full video on Twitch for clarity, while Multichoice, the organisers of BBNaija, insist they have fully met their obligations regarding her prize.
