The Osun State Police Command on Monday arrested one Ismail Damilare, suspected to be a member of an unlawful group.

A viral video showed Damilare in handcuffs and leg shackles, admitting that he was caught with locally fabricated arms. He claimed he used the weapons for self-defence against a rival group.

Confirming the arrest, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Ojelabi, said, “One cultist was arrested with two cut-to-size guns and about six cartridges

When asked if the suspect had any connection with a high-profile figure in the state’s transport sector, the Police Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Ojelabi, said, “I am not aware if he worked with the NURTW, but I know he was arrested. He is popularly known as ‘Killer,’ and his real name is Ismail Damilare. He is 22 years old.

“So far, he is the only person arrested on Sunday. However, I am yet to receive full details from the Officer-in-Charge of Anti-Cultism. I will provide further information once I have the details
