Primate Ayodele Warns Tinubu: End Insecurity Before April 2026

The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has urged President Bola Tinubu to tackle insecurity in Nigeria before April 2026, warning that terrorists are planning attacks on prominent Nigerians.

In a statement issued by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele said continued negotiations with terrorists could allow them to disrupt elections and electoral campaigns if decisive action is not taken.

“If care isn’t taken, the election may not hold as planned because of insecurity. If the government continues negotiating, we are still playing with fire,” the prophet said.

He listed Kogi, Nasarawa, Adamawa, Yobe, Enugu, Edo, Ogun, Ondo, Abuja, Kebbi, and Jigawa as states that require urgent attention. He also warned of potential attacks in December and January, highlighting the threat of kidnappings targeting high-profile individuals.

Ayodele criticized the recent withdrawal of police escorts for VIPs, stating it could expose prominent personalities to further attacks. “The withdrawal of police from VIPs isn’t the answer. They will soon start kidnapping prominent personalities,” he said.

The spiritual leader emphasized that ending insecurity ahead of the elections is crucial to ensure a safe and credible electoral process.
