Priyanka Chopra Returns to Delhi After New York Diwali Bash, Shares Love for City’s Beauty

After attending a glittering Diwali celebration in New York, Priyanka Chopra has touched down in India, this time in Delhi rather than her usual base, Mumbai. The actor, who recently shared the screen with Idris Elba and John Cena in the Prime Video release Heads of State, began her visit with a scenic drive across the capital, expressing her admiration for the city’s charm and vibrancy on social media.

Arrival in Delhi

Priyanka marked her journey with a series of posts on Instagram. On her flight to Delhi, she shared a selfie captioned, “Sometimes I feel like I live on a plane,” dressed casually in a brown hoodie and grey cap. She also posted a short clip of the plane taking off, signaling the start of her journey. Upon landing, Priyanka shared a picture of a “Welcome to Delhi” signboard, delighting her fans with the first glimpse of her visit.

The primary reason for her trip, she revealed, is to celebrate the birthday of her best friend, Tamanna Dutt. Priyanka shared an image of Tamanna, writing, “My sister’s big birthday… Delhi it is,” accompanied by a heart emoji. Later, she posted a video enjoying a drive through the city, marveling at the greenery and urban beauty, captioning it, “Dilli ki khoobsoorti,” reflecting her delight at exploring the capital.

Recent Engagements

Earlier in October, Priyanka was in Mumbai for Bulgari’s first-ever Indian exhibition, Serpenti Infinito, held at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC). During the exhibition, she attended multiple events and interacted with several Bollywood stars, including Triptii Dimri, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Tamannaah Bhatia, Keerthy Suresh, and Mrunal Thakur, before returning to New York. Whether she brought her daughter, Malti, along on this Delhi visit has not been confirmed.

Upcoming Projects

Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming slate includes a mix of Hollywood and Indian projects. She will star in The Bluff, portraying a 19th-century Caribbean pirate, and is also involved in the second season of the international web series Citadel. In India, she will appear in SS Rajamouli’s next film alongside Mahesh Babu, tentatively titled GlobeTrotter. Her recent work includes the action-comedy Heads of State, directed by Ilya Naishuller, released on Prime Video, where she starred opposite John Cena and Idris Elba.

Priyanka’s visit to Delhi highlights her ability to balance global commitments while staying connected to her roots, making the capital city another stop on her ever-busy travel itinerary.
