PTAD Addresses Pensioners’ Concerns Amid Complaints Over Payment Delays

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has been actively responding to pensioners’ complaints regarding delayed payments, discrepancies in pension amounts, and gratuity issues.

Several pensioners, including Kolade and Samson, raised concerns about late payments and minimum wage adjustments. PTAD clarified that the N32,000 minimum wage increment applies to all pensioners except those from agencies such as PHCN, Peoples Bank, NICON Insurance, Nigerian Reinsurance, NITEL, PTI, and Assurance Bank. Pensioners experiencing delayed monthly payments were advised to verify their bank statements from April 2025 to date.

For issues relating to gratuity payments, PTAD requested affected pensioners to submit verification slips via [email protected] for investigation. The agency also addressed claims of reduced pensions, noting that payment structures are based on retirement grades and HAPSS 2003 structures, emphasizing that pensioners were receiving their rightful entitlements.

PTAD encouraged retirees with unresolved issues to contact their hotline at 02094621700 or send verification documents via email for prompt resolution, stressing its commitment to ensuring transparency and timely payment of pensions.
