Sammy West, elder brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has disclosed that he and his family were responsible for introducing Senator Ned Nwoko to Instagram. He made the revelation in a recent post on his Instagram page, hinting at how private their family life had been before recent public disputes.
In the post, Sammy wrote:
“Life so private that nobody knows that we opened Instagram for Nedu 🤘🏻 type shii.”
The comment sparked online reactions, particularly coming shortly after Regina Daniels publicly addressed her ongoing fallout with her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko.
Regina had earlier shared during an Instagram Live session with media personality Daddy Freeze that her brother and a close family friend were recently arrested on Nwoko’s instructions while Sammy was livestreaming. She claimed the arrest was linked to a false allegation of stealing $40,000 from Nwoko’s home, which she denied.
She explained that the incident, along with ongoing legal threats, had left her family anxious and unsettled, claiming that warrants had been issued indiscriminately, including one in her own name.
The public dispute comes after Regina’s decision in October 2025 to end her marriage with the billionaire politician, citing domestic violence as the reason for her exit.
Social media users have reacted with mixed opinions. Some defended the family, emphasizing the assistance they provided Nwoko, while others criticized perceived public attention-seeking. Comments included:
- “Balanced equation: He feeds you, you show him how to navigate social media.”
- “IMMATURITY won finish the DANIELS.”
- “Family. And no matter what, the man deserves some respect from y’all.”
The situation continues to attract attention, highlighting the intersection of family loyalty, public scrutiny, and celebrity disputes in Nigeria’s entertainment and social media landscape.
