Regina Daniels Finally Takes Drug Test Amid Accusations, Shares Results

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has revealed that she recently underwent a drug test, months after being accused of drug addiction following her tumultuous separation from her billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko.

In a heartfelt post on her Instagram page, Daniels opened up about the overwhelming period she’s been through, admitting that everything she once knew seemed to be falling apart. Despite the challenges, she credited the love, support, and understanding from her family, friends, and fans for helping her remain strong.

A Decision Driven by Responsibility

Regina explained that her decision to take the drug test wasn’t just to clear her name but to provide reassurance to those who continue to support and look up to her. “Taking this test isn’t just about clearing my name, it’s about giving a clear and confident voice to those who believe in me,” she said.

She vehemently denied the rumors that she had been using hard drugs, labeling them as unfounded and malicious. “I was never on any hard drugs or any nonsense fabricated online,” she added. However, she acknowledged her past association with ecstasy, commonly known as “Molly,” but promised to provide further clarification in the future. “Believe it or not, there was a reason for that, which I will explain.”

Emphasizing Accountability and Integrity

Daniels emphasized that accountability, integrity, and peace of mind are now the values she holds most dearly. Reflecting on the past few months, she described them as a period of self-discovery and personal growth, where she’s become more intentional about her choices and the direction of her life.

In her post, she expressed how the past few months have been a heavy season in her life. “One of those seasons that tries to sit on your chest and ask, ‘So, what are we doing next?’ It has been a major turning point, one that shook me to my core. Everything I had ever known was drowning right in front of me. But here’s the plot twist: I didn’t drown with it. Why? Because I was carried by the overwhelming love, support, patience, and understanding of my family, friends, and the public. And for that, I am forever grateful,” she wrote.

Battling Negative Projections

Daniels further opened up about how she grappled with the label of being a drug addict, saying she initially paused and questioned herself. “I looked at myself in the mirror repeatedly, searching for this so-called addict. I searched so hard it almost felt like I was going psychic. Because surely, I must be missing something.”

She then realized that people often project their own fears, insecurities, and negativity onto others, but that these projections don’t define reality. “Projection is not reality, and noise is not truth,” she noted.

Creating Her Own Narrative

The actress concluded with a powerful message of self-empowerment. “Here’s the choice we all have to make: Do you allow yourself to be defined by other people’s opinions, or do you create your own narrative? As for me, I choose the latter every single time. The same mouth that was used to spoil my name is the same mouth that will build it back up.”

She added that this chapter of her life is focused on self-discovery, growth, and becoming more intentional about her future. “This chapter is now about self-discovery, self-growth, and becoming even more intentional about who I am and where I’m going.”

A Grateful Heart

Daniels expressed gratitude for God’s grace and strength throughout this journey. “I thank God endlessly for His grace, His strength, and His excellence in my life, because if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that He has carried me through it all. I’m still standing, still growing, and just getting started.”

Ending the post with optimism, she declared, “And yes. We move. Happy New Year, everyone!”
