Rita Daniels Breaks Silence, Reaches Out With Charity After Losing AGN Presidential Election

Nollywood actress Rita Daniels has finally spoken out following her loss in the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) presidential election—and she chose to make her statement through an act of kindness.

In a video posted on her Instagram page, Rita was seen on the streets distributing food and drinks to a crowd that gathered around her. The mother of actress Regina Daniels wore a warm smile as she served them, displaying grace and resilience despite the election setback.

Alongside the video, she shared a heartfelt note of gratitude:

“Thank you, God, for all you have done. May your name alone be praised. Hallelujah!”

Rita had contested for the AGN presidency against the guild’s current National Secretary, Abubakar Yakubu. The election was held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, during the AGN Annual General Meeting in Benin, Edo State. After voting concluded, Abubakar Yakubu emerged the winner.

Rather than reacting with frustration or retreating from the public eye, Rita chose to respond with generosity—a move many fans have hailed as inspiring. Social media users flooded the comment section with praise for her poise and compassion. One commenter wrote, “Rita Daniels is a woman of grace. This is true leadership.” Another added, “This is how a queen behaves. She is strong.”

Her charitable gesture after the election has been widely interpreted as a sign that true leadership is not defined solely by winning, but by humility and service to others.
