Role Model Brings Out Niall Horan as His Latest “Sally” During London Tour

Role Model surprises fans by bringing Niall Horan onstage during his “Sally” segment in London.

On Tuesday, November 4, Role Model—real name Tucker Pillsbury, 28—welcomed Niall Horan, 32, onstage during his sold-out performance at Eventim Apollo in London. The appearance took place during his fan-favorite “Sally” segment, which occurs while he performs his hit song “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.”

Horan, known for his solo career and as a former member of One Direction, sported light wash denim, a white tank top under a plaid shirt, a black belt, and black shoes. He danced and shared the mic with Role Model, creating a viral moment that quickly spread on social media.

The Viral “Sally” Segment

Since the release of his deluxe album Kansas Anymore (The Longest Goodbye) in February 2025, the “Sally” segment has become a hallmark of Role Model’s No Place Like Tour. Previous celebrity “Sallys” include Kate Hudson, Natalie Portman, Charli XCX, Bowen Yang, and Renée Rapp.

During a conversation with James Austin Johnson at Rolling Stone’s Musicians on Musicians event, Role Model revealed the concept came from influencer Jake Shane, explaining, “Originally I was going to have him up for a different song, but people loved it, so we started bringing up fans.”

Fans Love Celebrity Onstage Moments

The “Sally” segment exemplifies Role Model’s playful approach to connecting with fans. Horan’s appearance followed a tradition similar to Sabrina Carpenter, who engages celebrity guests onstage by “arresting” them with pink fuzzy handcuffs during her concerts. Carpenter’s past onstage “arrests” include Gigi Hadid, Joe Keery, Margaret Qualley, and Corey Fogelmanis.

Role Model continues to make his No Place Like Tour a must-see experience, combining fan interaction, viral moments, and live performances of hits like “Some Protector” and “Look at That Woman.”
