Scott Iguma Urges Lagos Government to Install CCTV After Spotting Dead Bodies on Major Roads

Nigerian social commentator Scott Iguma has urged the Lagos State government to install CCTV cameras on major roads following disturbing scenes he witnessed in recent days. Iguma reported coming across several bodies lying on busy highways, with little information about how the victims died or who was responsible.

Describing the situation as alarming, he emphasized that the absence of surveillance makes it difficult to track hit-and-run cases, identify offenders, and properly investigate road deaths. According to Iguma, some of the incidents appeared to be hit-and-runs, while at least one body seemed to have remained on the road for an extended period, highlighting delays in emergency response and investigation.

Iguma stressed that CCTV cameras should no longer be considered a luxury but an essential public safety measure. He called on authorities to act urgently, warning that continued inaction could put more lives at risk on Lagos roads.
