Senator Natasha Akpoti, representing Kogi Central, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of her colleague, Senator Okey Ezea, who represented Enugu North Senatorial District.

Senator Ezea passed away on Tuesday night in the United Kingdom while receiving medical treatment.

Reacting on her official Facebook page on Wednesday morning, Senator Akpoti described Ezea as a wise and gentle lawmaker, highlighting his support during her own difficult times. She wrote, “Rest in peace Distinguished Senator Okey Ezea. You were a good man! Wise and gentle. Your prayers kept me going through my darkest moments and I will miss you in chambers.”

She further noted that both Kogi Central and Enugu North mourn his passing, paying tribute to his service and dedication in the Senate.

Senator Ezea’s death is a significant loss to the National Assembly, where he was widely respected by colleagues across party lines.
