Success Football Club emerged victorious at the inaugural Bet9ja Ibeju-Lekki football tournament, defeating Noble 5 Star Football Club 3-1 in an exciting final at the Radial Sport Arena, Epe Expressway, Lagos.

The month-long competition featured 42 teams, showcasing the talents of local youth. Goals from Yakub Sheriff, Ajayi Shakiru, and Yakub Nurudeen secured the win for Success FC, while Monday Adeoye scored a consolation for Noble 5 Star FC.

Prize money and awards were distributed as follows:

• Success FC: N500,000 and the championship trophy
• Noble 5 Star FC: N300,000
• Bright Star FC (third place): N200,000

Individual accolades went to Sadat Sanusi of Royal Asyteric FC, who won top scorer with six goals, while Ogunjuwon, coach of Success FC, was named Best Coach of the tournament.

Commenting on the event, Victor Akinmoyo, Chairman of the Organising Committee, highlighted its impact on local youth development. “This competition brings youths in Ibeju-Lekki together and provides a platform to showcase their skills. We are committed to sustaining this tournament with the support of our sponsors,” he said.

The successful inaugural edition promises a bigger and more competitive event in the coming year.
