Super Falcons defender Michelle Alozie has been named among the nominees for the 2025 FIFPRO Women’s World 11, a prestigious global award determined by votes from professional footballers worldwide.
Alozie is one of eight defenders shortlisted for the final lineup, joining Millie Bright, Lucy Bronze, Alex Greenwood, and Leah Williamson (England), as well as Ona Batlle and Olga Carmona (Spain), and Ellie Carpenter (Australia).
The 28-year-old earned widespread praise for her stellar performances during Nigeria’s triumphant campaign at the 2024 African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON), where she was named in the Team of the Tournament.
Each year, more than 25,000 professional players cast their votes to select the World 11, which honors the best performers across the football calendar. The final team features one goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, and three forwards, with an additional outfield player earning the final spot based on votes.
The 2025 FIFPRO Women’s World 11 will be unveiled on Monday, November 3, at 13:00 (UK time).v
