Pop icon Taylor Swift reunited with the dancers, backup singers, and band members from her record-breaking Eras Tour during a special screening of the first two episodes of her upcoming Disney+ docuseries, The End of an Era, in New York City on December 9, 2025.
The red carpet event, hosted by Disney+ at 7 Hudson Square, captured Swift posing alongside her entire Eras Tour family, including her band, dancers, and close collaborators. Disney co-chairman Dana Walden also attended the screening, taking photos with Swift and sharing in the celebration of the project.
“Honestly can’t think of a better way to celebrate my (almost) birthday than to relive the Eras Tour with you! This time we’re going backstage,” Swift wrote on Instagram when sharing the trailer for The End of an Era on November 13, 2025.
About The End of an Era
The six-part docuseries, directed by Don Argott and co-directed by Sheena M. Joyce, premieres December 12, 2025, on Disney+, with two episodes released each week. Produced by Object & Animal, the series provides fans with an intimate look at Swift’s life during the tour and the behind-the-scenes efforts required to create a global phenomenon.
According to Disney+, the series “features Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, and Florence Welch, along with her band, dancers, crew, and family members—offering never-before-seen insight into what it took to create a phenomenon.”
Alongside the docuseries, Swift is also releasing Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show, a concert film featuring her last Eras Tour performance on December 8, 2024, at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, Canada. This film showcases The Tortured Poets Department set, which was not part of her original Eras Tour film.
Swift Reflects on the Eras Tour
Swift’s Eras Tour became a historic success, grossing over $2 billion in ticket sales. Reflecting on the tour in an interview with BBC Radio 1, the Grammy winner described the experience as unlike anything she had encountered in her career.
“I knew it was crazy what was happening… my band, my crew, my touring family—we’re all very close and have been forever—and none of us have ever had anything like that happen,” Swift said.
Despite the overwhelming success, Swift confirmed she has no new tour planned in the immediate future, noting:
“I’m gonna be really honest… I am so tired when I think about doing it again because I would want to do it really, really well again. I’m so good right now.”
With the docuseries and concert film both premiering on December 12, fans now have the perfect opportunity to relive Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour and experience the backstage moments and performances that made it a cultural milestone.
