The Yadav family feud in Bihar has entered a sharper and more dramatic phase, with Tej Pratap Yadav openly siding with his sister Rohini Acharya, even as she continues to level serious allegations of humiliation, abuse, and betrayal within the family. Rohini’s decision to quit politics—accompanied by emotionally charged posts asserting she was insulted, threatened, and even struck with slippers—has widened internal rifts in the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and intensified public scrutiny of the party leadership.
What began as quiet rumblings following the RJD’s humiliating performance in the Bihar Assembly elections has escalated into a full-scale public crisis, one that has split the family at a deeply personal level. Rohini’s pointed accusations have been largely directed at her brother Tejashwi Yadav and his close aides, whom she blames for her emotional turmoil and isolation. Her elder brother, Tej Pratap, has now stepped forward, offering unequivocal support and sharpening his attack on those he calls “traitors” responsible for sowing discord.
Tej Pratap Calls Rohini’s Sacrifice “Rare” and “Commendable”
Speaking shortly after Rohini’s revelations shook political and family circles alike, Tej Pratap Yadav described his sister’s contributions and character as “rare” and extraordinary. He praised her courage as a woman, a mother, and a sister, asserting that what she had done for the family was commendable and deserving of respect.
Rohini, who donated a kidney to her father Lalu Prasad Yadav in 2022, has claimed that she was subjected to degrading comments suggesting the organ she gave was “dirty” and transplanted in exchange for money or political favour. Tej Pratap forcefully rejected such insinuations, calling her act of donating her kidney a symbol of devotion and sacrifice that should be honoured by every member of the family.
“Lord Krishna’s Sudarshan Chakra Will Strike”: Tej Pratap’s Warning
In a dramatic escalation, Tej Pratap issued a spiritual and symbolic warning to those he believes are responsible for humiliating Rohini. He said that anyone attempting to disrespect his sister would face divine retribution, invoking the imagery of Lord Krishna’s Sudarshan Chakra—an unmistakable message of severe consequences.
This rhetoric was accompanied by a strongly worded message posted on the official Instagram handle of his party, Janshakti Janata Dal, where Tej Pratap declared that “traitors” who attack the Yadav family would face backlash from the people of Bihar. He further claimed that all it would take was one signal from Lalu Prasad Yadav for the public to “bury these traitors,” underscoring both the intensity of his anger and the symbolic authority he attributes to his father.
“Shaken to the Core”: Tej Pratap Blames Tejashwi’s Inner Circle
Tej Pratap said the unfolding events had deeply shaken him. While he claimed he had tolerated personal mistreatment in the past, he drew a sharp line at the humiliation inflicted upon his sister. He accused certain unnamed individuals—whom Rohini had earlier identified as Tejashwi’s aides Rameez and Sanjay—of manipulating his younger brother and clouding his judgment.
Tej Pratap warned that the consequences of allowing these individuals undue influence could be grave. He insisted that this fight was not political but deeply personal, a matter of family honour, a daughter’s dignity, and the self-respect of Bihar. His positioning suggested that the crisis had now broken free of intra-party tensions and transformed into a moral battle within the family.
Rohini Acharya’s Emotional Outpouring: “They Left Me Orphaned”
Rohini’s posts on social media have been among the most painful and explosive revelations in Bihar’s political sphere in recent memory. She described scenes of being verbally abused, threatened, and even targeted physically, claiming that shoes were raised to strike her. She said she was forced to leave behind her “crying parents and sisters,” describing herself as being violently torn away from her maternal home.
Her allegations include claims that certain people in the family mocked her kidney donation by suggesting she did it for money or an election ticket. She accused these individuals of posing as strategists—likening them sarcastically to “Chanakya”—while spreading lies and hatred.
In one of her strongest warnings yet, she urged all married daughters to learn from her suffering. She said that no woman should sacrifice her body or health for her parental home, especially when sons of the family remain present. She advised women to prioritise their children and household, adding that she regretted not consulting her husband or in-laws before making the decision to donate her kidney for her father.
A Deepening Crisis With Political Consequences
The timing of the feud could not be worse for the RJD, which suffered a devastating loss in the recent assembly elections, securing only 25 seats despite contesting more than 140. Frustrations within the family, once contained behind closed doors, have now spilled into the open, revealing emotional scars, mistrust, and competing power centres.
With Rohini stepping away from politics and blaming key figures close to Tejashwi, the episode reflects a growing perception that the party’s leadership is in disarray. Tej Pratap’s intervention, rather than mending the rift, has added fuel to a situation already charged with emotion and public outrage.
The absence of an official response from the RJD or Tejashwi Yadav so far has only deepened speculation. Observers note that the crisis now transcends political rivalry and has struck at the core of the Yadav family’s identity—a family historically celebrated as united, influential, and central to Bihar’s political narrative.
As Bihar watches closely, the feud continues to reshape conversations around loyalty, leadership, and family dynamics in one of the state’s most powerful political households. With emotions running high and accusations growing sharper, the resolution remains uncertain, and the consequences—both political and personal—are likely to be profound.
