A governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Engr. Dideolu Falobi, has expressed confidence that the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu within his first two and a half years in office will help the party reclaim power in the state during next year’s gubernatorial election.
Speaking on Thursday after consulting with members of the APC State Executive Committee at the party’s secretariat in Osogbo, Falobi said President Tinubu’s economic reforms have placed Nigeria on the path of sustained growth and recovery, despite initial public misunderstanding of their impact.
“There is a lack of understanding at both the state and national levels of how well President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has performed,” he said. “In just two and a half years, he has done marvelously well. He met a completely run-down country, yet he has continued to work tirelessly despite sabotage. We are now at a turning point.”
Falobi expressed optimism that the positive results of Tinubu’s reforms would soon become visible, citing the President’s efforts to stabilize the economy.
“In a few months, like Aliko Dangote said, the dollar rate will drop and food prices will improve. The President is confronting challenges in all sectors head-on, and that is why I’m confident that both in Osun and across Nigeria, the APC will win again,” he stated.
On his visit to the party secretariat, the governorship hopeful said it was part of his ongoing consultations with party stakeholders in line with APC’s internal processes.
He noted that he had earlier met with party chairmen from all local government areas and local council development authorities in the state to discuss strategies for mobilizing grassroots support for his ambition.
