Two unidentified individuals lost their lives on Monday in a lone-vehicle accident along the Isara-Remo/Erimobi Bridge section of the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.

The vehicle involved, a Suzuki bus with registration number KRD 194 JW, reportedly collided with a stationary, broken-down vehicle on the road.

Babatunde Akinbiyi, spokesperson for the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), confirmed that the victims died instantly at the scene. Preliminary findings suggest that excessive speed was a contributing factor to the crash.

The remains of the deceased have been taken to the State General Hospital in Isara-Remo, while the vehicle has been evacuated to the Isara-Remo Police Station for further investigation.
