TY Logistics Park FZE has officially launched its state-of-the-art logistics facility in the Lekki Free Zone, Lagos, with a mission to tackle Nigeria’s long-standing supply chain inefficiencies and position the country as a hub for regional trade.
Speaking at the commissioning, Chairman Theo Danjuma Jr. described the facility as West Africa’s first Grade-A free zone contract logistics hub, equipped with advanced technology to ensure full inventory transparency, real-time stock control, and error-free order processing. These systems, he said, are critical for high-velocity sectors and products with shelf-life sensitivities.
“Our strategic location in the Alaro Free Zone, just minutes from the Lekki Deep Sea Port, allows us to offer unmatched import and export efficiencies, including importer-of-record solutions, duty deferment, tax optimisation, and enhanced regional distribution,” Danjuma Jr. explained.
He emphasised that TY Logistics Park FZE seeks to go beyond traditional logistics services. “We see ourselves not just as a logistics provider, but as an extension of our clients’ businesses — taking on logistical complexities so they can focus on growth, brand strength, and market share,” he added.
CEO Arno Van Der Merwe highlighted the facility’s potential to serve medium and large businesses across multiple sectors, including FMCG, electronics, automotive parts, fashion, and pharmaceuticals. “Every hour lost to poor logistics is a cost to businesses. This facility was built to eliminate inefficiencies by providing a reliable, centralised, systems-driven logistics engine for Nigeria and the region,” Van Der Merwe said.
Stephen Jennings, Founder & Group CEO of Rendeavour, praised the strategic role of ecosystems like Alaro City in attracting investment and boosting Nigeria’s global trade competitiveness.
The facility spans 29,000 sqm, offers over 45,000 pallet positions, and features advanced storage systems alongside a fully automated Warehouse Management System (WMS) for real-time visibility and audit-ready operations. Its proximity to the Lekki Deep Sea Port and the upcoming international airport enhances its regional distribution capabilities.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who attended the event, reaffirmed the state’s commitment to private-sector-led industrial growth, noting that the Lekki corridor is rapidly becoming Africa’s new manufacturing and logistics powerhouse.
The commissioning included a facility tour, a demonstration of the park’s digital operations suite, and presentations of its end-to-end contract logistics capabilities. With client onboarding already underway, TY Logistics Park FZE is poised to commence full commercial operations, setting a new benchmark for logistics and supply chain management in West Africa.
Present at the event were Gen. Theophilus Danjuma (rtd.), his wife Sen. Daisy Danjuma, representatives of Taraba State Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas, Lekki Worldwide International Limited Chairman Biodun Dabiri, traditional rulers, and captains of industry.
