UK-Born Teen Appeals for Help to Find Estranged Nigerian Father as VeryDarkman Responds

A 17-year-old UK-born teenager, Teddy Onwuchekwa, has taken to social media to seek assistance in finding his long-lost Nigerian father, drawing public attention after popular activist VeryDarkman responded to his plea.

Teddy, who was born and raised in London to an English mother and a Nigerian father, revealed that his father, identified as Derrick Onwuchekwa, left the family when he was just two years old. Since then, he said all efforts to trace his whereabouts have been unsuccessful.

In a message sent to VeryDarkman, the teenager shared details of his background and expressed a strong desire to reconnect with his paternal roots. He explained that he has no contact information for his father but possesses old photographs of both his father and grandfather, which he hopes could help in identifying him.

“I’m 17 years old, London-born, to an English mother and a Nigerian father. My dad left when I was two, and I don’t know where he is or how to find him,” Teddy wrote, appealing for assistance.

Reacting to the request, VeryDarkman shared Teddy’s story on his social media platforms, posting the available photographs and urging members of the public to help circulate them. He called on anyone with useful information to come forward in hopes of reuniting the teenager with his family.

The appeal has since sparked conversations online, with many users expressing support and offering to help spread the message.
