Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh: In a tragic incident, three children from the same family in Gularhiya Tola village, Nebua Naurangia block, died within 48 hours after falling ill with fever, prompting the local health authorities to launch an investigation.
The children belonged to Pintu Gaur’s family. His daughter Manju fell sick a week ago and was initially treated by a local doctor. Her condition did not improve, and she was admitted to the district hospital, where she passed away on Wednesday. Soon after, Gaur’s younger daughter Khushi developed a high fever and was referred to BRD Medical College in Gorakhpur, where she died on Friday morning. In a third tragedy, Krishna, the son of Gaur’s elder brother Dashrath, also fell ill and died while being taken to Padrauna on Friday morning.
The health department dispatched a medical team to the village, which has been operating a temporary camp for the past two days. Officials have tested 57 children for diseases like malaria and dengue and provided necessary medicines. Disinfectants and bleaching powder have been sprayed in affected areas, and villagers have been advised to maintain hygiene.
Dr. Ranjan Kumar Maurya, in-charge of the Nebua Naurangia Community Health Centre, stated that the exact cause of the deaths will only be confirmed once the medical reports are received. Authorities are taking all precautionary measures to prevent further fatalities.
