Verydarkman Responds to Critics Over Harrison Gwamnishu’s Arrest

Social media commentator Verydarkman has spoken out following widespread criticism over the arrest of activist Harrison Gwamnishu, explaining why he contacted authorities and addressing claims that jealousy motivated his actions.

Gwamnishu recently came under heavy scrutiny after the family of a kidnapped Edo couple accused him of diverting the ransom meant for the victims’ rescue.

According to Verydarkman, he has known Gwamnishu for years and believes the activist frequently encounters setbacks that tend to revolve around financial issues. He noted that whenever Gwamnishu begins to make progress, controversies often pull him back.

He explained that he decided to alert the police after watching a video in which Gwamnishu dismissed the allegations against him. Verydarkman said the remarks in the video raised red flags and prompted him to take action.

He argued that if Gwamnishu is innocent, authorities would have verified his claims and released him by now, adding that the continued detention of the activist suggests there may be merit to the accusations.

His words in part:
“I’ve known Harrison for a long time. Harrison has a problem but he’s a good guy. The solution is that he needs cleansing. Anytime he is going up, bad things happen and he comes down again — and it’s always money related.

People think I’m jealous because I initiated the call. I did that because when I watched the video, he said something like ‘they would have reported to the police if he did anything wrong.’ I was gaslighted because I know what I know, so I called the police and reported that they should pick him up.

If he’s the one saying the truth, they should release him. But guess what — they haven’t released him because he’s not the one saying the truth.”
