Afrobeats star Yemi Alade has revealed the emotional challenges of fame, describing the entertainment industry as inherently isolating. In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, she said that despite the glamour, many artists struggle with profound loneliness in silence.
Alade emphasized that she refuses to let her personal life mirror the industry’s isolation, stating:
“This industry is already a lonely place. I’m not about to live my actual life lonely.”
When asked about collaborations with peers like Tiwa Savage, she expressed a preference for peace and avoiding unnecessary conflict.
