The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Oyo State chapter, has applauded the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, for his 2025 mega empowerment and economic support programme, describing him as a promise keeper and a true friend of farmers.

AFAN noted that the Minister’s continuous commitment to uplifting the masses—especially farmers across Oyo State through the Bayo Adelabu Foundation (BAF)—has transformed rural livelihoods and boosted agricultural productivity.

Farmers Receive Financial Support

In a statement signed by Engr. Olumide Ayinla, AFAN Chairman in Oyo State, the association confirmed that all beneficiaries, particularly farmers, have received their financial support as promised by the Minister.

Ayinla commended Adelabu for his consistency and sincerity in supporting the agricultural value chain.

“Chief Adebayo Adelabu is a leader whose words are backed by action. His interventions have brought real relief and productivity to farmers across Oyo State,” he said.

Boosting Agricultural Productivity

The AFAN chairman recalled that a few months earlier, Adelabu distributed truckloads of fertilizer to farmers across the state — a gesture that significantly boosted yields, reduced input costs, and encouraged more participation in farming.

“This latest empowerment is a continuation of Chief Adelabu’s sincere, impactful assistance. It’s not about politics or propaganda; it’s about real, direct intervention that changes lives,” Ayinla added.

He stressed that the Bayo Adelabu Foundation has become a model for sustainable empowerment, bridging gaps in agricultural financing and improving food security across Oyo State.

A Leader Rooted in the Grassroots

Ayinla described the Minister as someone deeply connected to the grassroots and attuned to the realities of rural communities.

“For years now, Chief Adelabu has shown that he understands the heartbeat of the grassroots. His support goes beyond speeches — it’s about providing real resources for farmers and households,” he stated.

He prayed for Adelabu’s continued success and political advancement, noting that leaders who uplift others deserve to be elevated.

“We pray that God strengthens him to do more for humanity, the farming community, and the future of Oyo State,” he concluded.
