
The Imo State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), James Okoroma, convened a crucial meeting with all 27 LGA Chairmen of the party to consolidate strength and unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, held at the party’s office in New Owerri, brought together LGA Chairmen and other stakeholders, who reaffirmed their commitment to delivering a resounding victory for ADC in the forthcoming elections.
Addressing the gathering, Okoroma highlighted the party’s expanding influence and internal cohesion, noting that the ongoing membership drive and revalidation exercise had strengthened the party’s presence across the state.
He commended the LGA Chairmen for their leadership, sacrifices, and coordination during the distribution and return of Ward Party Registers, emphasizing that their dedication ensured the exercise was conducted peacefully and efficiently.
Okoroma stressed the importance of grassroots mobilization, urging party leaders at both Ward and LGA levels to demonstrate integrity, inclusiveness, and commitment. He reiterated that expanding the party’s reach and increasing membership remains a central priority for ADC.
In response, the LGA Chairmen, led by Omah Pius Omah, expressed gratitude to the State Working Committee for its visionary and people-centered leadership. They reaffirmed their resolve to strengthen the party, deepen grassroots engagement, and work collectively toward ADC’s victory in 2027.
The meeting was attended by key party officials and loyal members.
