The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced a reduction in the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage fare. The new rate is N7.6 million, down from over N8 million, saving each pilgrim over N760,000 compared to the previous year.
Key details:
- Adamawa and Borno pilgrims: N7.5 million (previously N8.3 million)
- Other Northern states: N7,669,769 (previously N8,457,685)
- Southern states: N7,991,141 (previously N8,784,085)
NAHCON Chairman Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Pakistan attributed the fare reduction to President Bola Tinubu’s directive to make Hajj more affordable and successful negotiations with Saudi Arabian service providers.
The commission also set December 5, 2025, as the deadline for all intending pilgrims to complete their payments.
