
Residents of Utako and parts of Wuye have been left without electricity following a technical fault on a feeder supplying the areas, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) announced.
In a public notice dated December 22, 2025, AEDC informed customers that the outage was caused by a fault affecting the feeder responsible for electricity distribution to the affected neighborhoods.
The company said its technical team has been deployed and is working diligently to restore power but did not provide a specific timeline for when electricity would be fully restored.
“We regret to inform you that the current power outage is due to a technical fault affecting the feeder serving your area,” the notice read. AEDC apologized for the inconvenience and appealed to residents for patience while repair works continue.
