Air Peace Scraps Night Regional Flights, Shifts to Daytime Operations

Nigeria’s largest airline, Air Peace, has announced a significant shift in its regional flight operations. Starting February 2, 2026, the airline will move all its regional flights from night-time services to daytime schedules. This decision is part of Air Peace’s broader efforts to enhance passenger convenience, improve operational reliability, and increase regional connectivity.

New Daytime Regional Flight Schedule

The airline’s management stated that the new schedule would align better with onward domestic, regional, and long-haul departures, providing a more competitive and convenient travel option for passengers.

According to Efe Osifo-Whiskey, the airline’s spokesperson, the new regional schedule will include the following routes:

  • Lagos–Abidjan–Dakar–Banjul–Dakar–Abidjan–Lagos: Flights will operate every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, departing Lagos at 7:00 AM and returning at 9:40 PM.
  • Lagos–Accra–Roberts International Airport (Monrovia)–Freetown–Roberts International–Accra–Lagos: This route will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with departures from Lagos at 8:00 AM and returning at 7:25 PM.
  • Daily Lagos–Accra–Lagos Flights: In addition to the above, daily services between Lagos and Accra will continue, with morning departures at 7:00 AM, along with additional evening frequencies on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Improved Passenger Experience

The transition to daytime flights is expected to significantly enhance passenger comfort and travel experience, while also improving the airline’s schedule reliability and on-time performance. This move will strengthen connectivity with night-time long-haul flights, catering to business, government, and leisure travel needs across West and Central Africa.

Competitive Advantage for Air Peace

The new flight schedule offers Air Peace a strong competitive edge over both regional and international airlines operating out of Lagos. By improving the convenience of its services, the airline aims to solidify its role as a key player in intra-African trade, tourism, and mobility.

“This optimized schedule gives Air Peace a strong competitive advantage,” said Osifo-Whiskey, “reinforcing its role as a key enabler of intra-African trade, tourism, and mobility.”
