Blord Threatens Legal Action Against VeryDarkMan Over “RATEL” Name Dispute

Billionaire tech entrepreneur and Chairman of Blord Group, Blord, has escalated his ongoing feud with social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) by threatening legal action over the use of the name “RATEL.”

The dispute, which began after VDM publicly criticised Blord online, has grown into a high-profile clash that many now describe as a battle between social influence and corporate power. VDM, known for calling out corruption and social injustice, popularised the name RATEL through his activism and online campaigns. However, reports indicate that he failed to legally trademark the name.

Blord recently took advantage of that loophole by officially registering RATEL and launching a mobile app under the brand. The move sparked widespread reactions online, especially after Blord appeared to mock VDM, stating that his own RATEL should “stay in the cage” while the registered brand generates revenue.

The controversy has now taken a legal turn, with Blord reportedly directing his legal team to issue a cease-and-desist letter to VDM. Blord claims exclusive ownership of the RATEL name and insists that any continued use by VDM infringes on his brand rights.

Since its launch, the RATEL app has continued to trend, fueling debates on social media about the difference between cultural ownership and legal control. While many argue that VDM built the brand’s identity, others maintain that Blord’s actions, though controversial, fall within the boundaries of business strategy.

The unfolding saga has reignited conversations about branding, intellectual property, and the risks faced by influencers who fail to protect their ideas legally. It serves as a reminder that in the digital age, influence alone may not be enough without proper structure and legal backing.
