About the Book

Falades’s Olobun is a compelling historical play set in the 15th-century Oyo Empire. It narrates the birth of twins to Alaafin Oluaso, the abolition of twin infanticide, and the rise of a woman to a position of power in Yoruba land.

The play serves as both a dramatic and journalistic account of the founding of the Ondo Kingdom, presenting Olobun as a symbol of destiny-driven legacy.
