Chase Infiniti, the rising star known for her role in Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest epic, One Battle After Another, recently revealed a unique responsibility during the film’s promotional tour: she was officially put on “TikTok duty” by none other than Leonardo DiCaprio himself.
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the Newport Beach Film Festival Honors and Variety’s 10 Actors to Watch Red Carpet on October 19, Infiniti, 25, described how DiCaprio and director Paul Thomas Anderson entrusted her with creating content for the social media platform to promote the film.
“Yeah. Listen, before we started the press tour, him and Paul both were like, ‘Okay, you got to be on TikTok duty,’” Infiniti recalled. “And I was like, ’Okay, I’m on TikTok duty. You have to be ready to be in the TikToks.’”
TikTok Fun with the Star-Studded Cast
Infiniti shared that her co-stars, including DiCaprio, secretly enjoyed filming the clips she orchestrated. The videos ranged from humorous behind-the-scenes moments to playful skits, such as a post where DiCaprio and Anderson ran away while Infiniti chased them, captioned cheekily:
“POV: you’re on a press tour with PTA and Leonardo DiCaprio.”
Fans quickly noticed, with one commenting: “Y’all should get an Oscar for this TikTok.”
The social media push provided a lighter, relatable side to the press tour for a highly dramatic and epic film, showing the camaraderie between the actors behind the cameras.
About One Battle After Another
The movie, which hit theaters on September 23, 2025, stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Bob Ferguson, a former revolutionary on the run alongside his daughter Willa, played by Infiniti. Her mother, Perfidia Beverly Hills (Teyana Taylor), is apprehended by authorities, setting the stage for a high-stakes action thriller.
The ensemble cast also includes Sean Penn as police officer Steven Lockjaw, along with Wood Harris, Alana Haim, Regina Hall, and Benicio del Toro, creating a star-studded lineup.
Chase Infiniti Reflects on the Experience
For Infiniti, working on a Paul Thomas Anderson film with such a legendary cast was a career milestone. She recounted a moment during the press junket where it truly hit her:
“I’m literally in a Paul Thomas Anderson film with Leonardo DiCaprio, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn, and Benicio del Toro, and we’re promoting it and going on a tour for it. That’s where it really hit me — oh my gosh.”
She added that interacting with fans at screenings and Q&As has been the most rewarding part of the experience:
“Just getting the ability to talk to fans of the film has been the best gift I could have ever gotten. You just feel so much love from the entire community of people watching it.”
DiCaprio Praises the Epic Scope
At CinemaCon 2025, DiCaprio described the film as “an incredibly epic movie [that] has such scope and scale” and praised Anderson’s collaborative approach with actors:
“A lot of writer-directors are incredibly rigid, but his ability to work with actors is so unique. It was an honor to work with him.”
