Cleric Urges Believers: God Is Omnipresent, Not Confined to Jerusalem

Apostle John Okoriko, founder of Solid Rock Kingdom Church in Akwa Ibom State, has told Nigerians and international pilgrims that God and Christ are not limited to Jerusalem. Speaking during the church’s monthly Interactive Service themed “The Temple of His Body”, he emphasized that Christ’s presence extends everywhere.

Apostle Okoriko described trips to Jerusalem as religious tourism, noting that neither God nor Christ resides in man-made temples. He criticized the practice of bringing items such as Dead Sea mud, olive oil, or holy water for healing, stressing that God can answer prayers from anywhere due to His omnipresence.

He said, “Why confine the God of the entire world, who is Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent, to a small place in Jerusalem? Faith does not depend on physical objects or locations.”

Okoriko further explained that after His resurrection, Jesus expanded the temple of His body, allowing believers everywhere to experience peace, comfort, and protection. He clarified misconceptions about the second coming, stating it concerns His church rather than a global spectacle.

Addressing global conflicts, including wars in Russia, Ukraine, Syria, and Israel, as well as terrorism in Nigeria, the cleric said these events will eventually end human governments to pave the way for the Kingdom of God on Earth, established through the temple of Christ’s body.
