Popular disc jockey DJ Brightstar is set to organize a Christmas Youth Tournament in Akwa Ibom this December, continuing his commitment to youth development in his home communities.

The initiative follows earlier football competitions he held during the Easter period in Ikot Eyen Imoh and Ikot Ubo Akama, which drew young participants, community leaders, and local supporters. Those tournaments, branded the “Superstar DJ Brightstar Easter Youth Tournament,” were praised for fostering engagement, unity, and sportsmanship among the youth.

Encouraged by the positive reception, DJ Brightstar said he plans to expand the project, adding that the Chairman of Ikot Abasi L.G.A had personally commended his efforts through his father.

“This is just the beginning,” Brightstar said. “Giving back to my people is a mission I take seriously. Football is a tool to unite, inspire, and build confidence in our youth.”

He revealed that the December edition will include structured activities designed to prepare young people for opportunities beyond sports, helping them develop skills for the future.

DJ Brightstar, known for his work on Inspiration FM, Yanga FM, Base FM, Max FM Lagos, and Diamond 88.5 FM Osun State, continues to combine his career in entertainment with community-focused initiatives.
