Black Fab Drops New Album ‘I Like Am’

Nigerian Afrobeats artist Black Fab has returned with his latest album, “I Like Am,” a house-infused, feel-good collection designed for Lagos living rooms, rooftop speakers, and late-night party vibes.

The project draws inspiration from Black Fab’s preferred downtime—relaxing at home, immersing himself in house playlists, and soaking in the vibrant energy of Lagos house parties. It fuses serenity, rhythm, and communal energy to create a sound that is both intimate and dance-ready.

Over the past year, Black Fab has emerged as a strong cultural voice for the Igala people, blending heritage into Afrobeats through previous hits such as “Ukpokpu,” “Egwu,” and his 2025 album Big Masquerade, featuring fan favourites “Ready” (feat. Ycee) and “Oyoyo” (feat. TML Vibez).

With “I Like Am,” Black Fab takes a deliberate step toward a global audience, leaning into house and dance textures for a club-ready sound while keeping lyrics universally relatable. Notably, the album features no guest artists, reflecting his decision to focus on organic collaboration with his core team.

For listeners, Black Fab hopes the album delivers three key takeaways: limitless creativity, personal empowerment, and positivity. “Everyone should find their own chakra and be a blessing,” he said.

“I Like Am” represents a new chapter for Black Fab—from Igala storyteller to a rising force on global dancefloors, further cementing his unique place in the music scene.
