
Popular Nigerian actress Doris Ogala has regained her freedom following her recent arrest linked to allegations she made against Pastor Chris Okafor.
The actress had previously accused Pastor Okafor of breaking promises of marriage during their alleged relationship and made further claims about personal matters, including an abortion. Her public statements prompted her detention, sparking widespread reactions on social media calling for her release.
Among those advocating for her freedom were notable activists Verydarkman and Omoyele Sowore, who lent support to ensure her release from custody.
Following her release, Doris Ogala took to Instagram to express her gratitude, writing:
“Thank you Sowore. Thank you so much to my ratel kong. VDM.”
Her case has drawn significant attention online, highlighting debates around personal accountability, public allegations, and the role of human rights advocacy in protecting citizens.
