The Edo State House of Assembly Service Commission has annulled the recent recruitment of 324 individuals into the Assembly workforce, describing the employment process as unauthorized and illegal.
In a statement jointly signed by the Commission’s Chairman, Sir Ezehi Igbas, and Secretary, Mrs. Isoken Nehi-Olotu, the Commission declared that all employment letters issued to the affected individuals were “null, void, and of no effect whatsoever.”
The Commission also apologised to all recipients of the cancelled letters, acknowledging the inconvenience caused by what it described as an improper and unauthorized action.
“The Edo State House of Assembly Service Commission hereby tenders an unreserved apology to all recipients of the unauthorized and unlawful employment letters and deeply regrets all inconveniences caused,” the statement read.
