Contrary to recent reports, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming period romance Love & War—starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal—has not been postponed to 2027. A source close to the production has confirmed that the film is on track for a 2026 release.

Earlier on Monday, a report suggested that Love & War had been delayed due to pending shoots and extensive post-production work, effectively ruling out a 2026 release. However, these claims have now been firmly denied.

“The film is very much set to release in 2026,” a source close to the project told HT, adding that production is progressing as planned.

According to the source, most of the major portions of the film have already been wrapped, including key sequences. “Sanjay Leela Bhansali has just completed shooting a song track, and the bulk of the film is already shot,” the source said.

While the exact release date is yet to be locked, speculation about a March 2026 release around Eid remains unconfirmed for now.
