Sharing a series of stills from the show on Instagram, Farah wrote: “So proud of you @iamhumaq… just finished Delhi Crime… and astounded and awed by your range as an actor. You know I rarely praise, so this is genuine… love, and a bit scared at how disturbing your character was… will be nicer to you from now.” She further added with a mix of humor and affection, “If you don’t win every award for this… I will personally go up and snatch it and give it to you @iamhumaq.” Huma responded warmly, saying, “hahaha, you are the best… learnt all my monster behaviour from you. Loveee you Farah to the moon and back.”

In Delhi Crime Season 3, Huma portrays Meena, aka Badi Didi, the head of a sprawling human-trafficking network. The character is both terrifying and magnetic, drawing viewers into the dark and morally complex world of crime. Speaking to Hindustan Times about her role, Huma described it as “Batman vs. Joker,” explaining, “I want to be loved as the most hated woman in this show, because she does some really horrible things, which I don’t approve of or stand for as an individual.”

Directed by Tanuj Chopra, the third season of Delhi Crime continues the series’ tradition of blending meticulous procedural detail with intense emotional drama. It follows the Delhi Police as they investigate and dismantle a human-trafficking network, highlighting both the professional and personal challenges faced by the officers. Alongside Huma and Shefali Shah as DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, the season features Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Sayani Gupta, and Mita Vashishth in pivotal roles. Her portrayal has drawn attention not only for its intensity but also for its subtlety, conveying menace without resorting to over-the-top theatrics. The character of Badi Didi has become a conversation starter, with viewers and critics alike praising the depth Huma brings to the role.

Looking ahead, Huma will be seen next in the feature film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, directed by Geetu Mohandas. The film, produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under their banners KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, is a period gangster drama that also stars Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Nayanthara, Akshay Oberoi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Sudev Nair. Scheduled for a 2026 release, the film promises to further showcase Huma’s versatility as an actor.

As Delhi Crime Season 3 continues to draw viewers on Netflix, Huma Qureshi’s Badi Didi stands out as one of the most formidable and memorable antagonists in recent Indian web series history.
