Fire Destroys Retired Health Official’s Four-Bedroom Home in Taraba

A devastating fire on Wednesday completely destroyed a four-bedroom flat belonging to Mr. Ayuba Ali Dangana, a retired staff member of the Health Services Management Board, in the ATC area of Jalingo.

The blaze, which reportedly began in the early hours, engulfed the building, leaving all household items beyond recognition. Dangana told DAILY POST that he was in his room checking files when the fire erupted and could not immediately determine the source of the flames.

“The intensity of the fire was so high that we could not salvage anything. I barely escaped with the clothes on my back, along with my wife and children,” he said.

He further confirmed that there was no electricity supply at the time, and all appliances in the house had been switched off, making the cause of the fire mysterious.

Describing the incident as a severe personal loss, Dangana appealed to public-spirited individuals and organizations for assistance, noting that he is retired and has lost all his belongings.
