FIRS Applauds Vintage Press for Outstanding Tax Compliance

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has commended Vintage Press Limited, publishers of The Nation newspapers, for its consistent tax compliance and significant contributions to Nigeria’s revenue.

In a ‘Letter of Appreciation for Exemplary Tax Compliance’ addressed to the company’s Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Victor Ifijeh, FIRS Lagos Mainland West Medium Taxpayers Office recognized Vintage Press for timely filing, accurate tax declarations, and prompt payment of taxes.

The letter, signed by FIRS Tax Controller Afolabi A.O., highlighted the company’s strong Value Added Tax (VAT) compliance profile and overall exemplary tax conduct. FIRS described Vintage Press as a key taxpayer whose commitment enhances the efficiency of tax administration and supports the government’s ability to deliver essential public services.

On the recognition, Afolabi said:
