Subscribers of Globacom (Glo) across the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and several northern states experienced major connectivity disruptions on Friday following a widespread network outage that affected both voice and data services for hours.
The outage left thousands unable to make calls or access the internet, prompting widespread complaints throughout the day.
Glo confirmed the service disruption in an official statement, explaining that the outage began at 11:49 a.m. on November 14, 2025, and was caused by multiple fibre cuts and high-loss incidents along critical transmission routes.
The company disclosed that the disruption was still ongoing at the time of its announcement and assured customers that technical teams had already been deployed to restore normal service.
“Our technical team is working to ensure services are being restored as quickly as possible,” the company said, indicating that engineers were actively repairing the damaged infrastructure.
Expressing appreciation to affected users, Glo added:
“Thank you for your patience and for choosing Glo. We truly appreciate you.”
Acknowledging the inconvenience caused, the telecom operator emphasised the importance of uninterrupted connectivity to its subscribers:
“We understand how important uninterrupted connectivity is to you.”
The statement further reassured users that efforts were in full swing to restore service across affected regions:
“Our engineers are actively working to restore services in Abuja and across the North as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and continued trust in Glo.”
Glo urged subscribers to remain patient while technical teams continued work on repairing the affected network infrastructure.
