Governor Dauda Lawal has commenced an official project inspection tour across local government areas, affirming that his administration’s rescue mission is on track and delivering tangible results.
On Wednesday, the governor visited Shinkafi Local Government Area to assess ongoing state government projects and launched an empowerment initiative spearheaded by Bello Hassan Shinkafi, member representing the Shinkafi/Zurmi Federal Constituency. The program is set to benefit 2,000 residents with items including luxury cars, tricycles, motorcycles, and sewing machines.
During the tour, Governor Lawal inspected the WCWC Primary Healthcare Centre in Shinkafi Town, which has been renovated, and visited the upgraded General Hospital, as well as the ongoing construction of a new Referral Hospital in the town.
At the Emir’s Palace, Governor Lawal emphasized his administration’s commitment to capital projects in local government areas. He stated:
“We are in Shinkafi today to inspect key projects of my administration and to launch the empowerment program of Honorable Bello Hassan.
We have fully renovated and equipped the General Hospital, transforming it into a modern facility capable of addressing emergency needs.
The Referral Hospital will be a game changer for Shinkafi LGA and the Zamfara North Senatorial Zone, easing the burden for patients seeking advanced medical care.
Additionally, the former Bafarawa Institute has been acquired to house the Faculty of Medical Sciences for Zamfara State University, with ongoing work to ensure effective utilization.”
Governor Lawal also commended Bello Hassan for prioritizing human development through the empowerment program and encouraged other stakeholders to focus on initiatives that improve the welfare of citizens.
