HJRBDA MD Commends President Tinubu for Students’ Rescue Operation

The Managing Director of Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority (HJRBDA), Alhaji Rabiu Suleiman Bichi, has lauded President Bola Tinubu for his decisive role in the successful rescue of abducted students from Kebbi and Niger States.

In a statement issued from his office in Kano on Tuesday, Alhaji Bichi praised the president’s “exceptional leadership and deep-seated concern” for the safety and welfare of Nigerian citizens.

“We must acknowledge and sincerely appreciate President Bola Tinubu for his great concern and bold moves taken in rescuing our precious children,” he said.

The HJRBDA boss highlighted the president’s proactive approach, noting that Tinubu personally aborted an international trip to Johannesburg to oversee the rescue operation, a move that sets a new standard for leadership at the highest level.

Alhaji Bichi also addressed the tendency in public discourse to focus solely on criticizing government responses during crises. He said:
“While holding leadership accountable is vital, fairness demands that exemplary acts of courage and successful operations also attract national acknowledgment and support. This strengthens national morale and motivates security agencies.”

He emphasized that the rescue of the students represents a national victory, achieved through the president’s direct involvement and the tireless efforts of security personnel, particularly the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

Bichi urged Nigerians to engage constructively, balancing criticism with recognition of achievements, saying this approach is essential for building a united front against national challenges.

He concluded by reaffirming HJRBDA’s commitment to supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of the federal government, especially in fostering sustainable development and community security.
