Israeli Forces Wound Hundreds in Tubas Raids, Destroy Infrastructure in West Bank Offensive

Israeli forces have injured over 200 Palestinians during a major offensive in the northern West Bank governorate of Tubas, as military raids continue to wreak destruction across towns and villages in the region.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that 78 of the injured required hospital treatment, highlighting the severity of the ongoing assaults, which began on Wednesday, November 27, 2025.

Escalation of Military Raids in Tubas

Following withdrawals from Tammun and the Far’a refugee camp, Israeli troops redirected operations toward the city of Tubas and nearby villages, including Aqqaba and Tayaseer.

Local authorities stated that nearly 200 Palestinians were detained during the past four days. Most were released after on-site interrogations, while at least eight individuals were taken to Israeli military prisons. Additional arrests occurred in Qalqilya, Jenin, and Nablus, including the detention of two children and a woman in Qalqilya.

Widespread Destruction Reported

The mayor of Tammun described the raids as the most destructive in recent years, noting that over 1.5 km (one mile) of roads were torn up, water networks damaged, and private property vandalized. The scale of destruction mirrors patterns seen in previous Israeli operations across the West Bank.

In the Jenin refugee camp, Israeli bulldozers are preparing to demolish at least 23 Palestinian homes, displacing hundreds of residents. The homes, inhabited by 340 Palestinians, were mostly emptied beforehand, though only 47 people were allowed to retrieve belongings. Residents described the destruction as so severe that some could not recognize their own homes.

Palestinian Armed Response

The armed wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for targeting Israeli forces during the Tubas and Jenin raids. In Tubas, fighters reportedly detonated an antipersonnel explosive against an Israeli foot patrol in Wadi al-Tayaseer, while attacks on Israeli military vehicles occurred in Jenin’s al-Ziyoud and al-Bir areas.

Casualties and Detentions Since 2023

Since October 2023, Israeli military operations have killed at least 1,086 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 223 children. In 2025 alone, 251 Palestinians were killed.

Additionally:

  • Over 10,662 Palestinians have been wounded since the conflict intensified.
  • More than 20,500 Palestinians have been detained, with 9,204 currently in Israeli jails as of early November.
  • Of these, 3,368 are held without charges.
  • At least 94 Palestinians have died in custody of the Israeli army or Israel Prison Service since October 2023.

Humanitarian Impact

The raids have disrupted essential services, destroyed water networks, and caused severe psychological and physical distress to local communities. The continued violence has displaced families, intensified tensions, and drawn international concern over the humanitarian situation in the occupied West Bank.
