JAMB Conducts Promotional CBT for Head of Service Staff

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Friday administered a Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the promotional examination of junior civil servants under the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.

The exercise, held at the Ade-Ola International School in Kubwa, Abuja, saw 450 staff members from various government agencies participate.

Hajia Zainab Hamzat, the Director in charge of JAMB’s Abuja zone, confirmed the smooth conduct of the exam. She noted that while 476 staff were scheduled to take the test, 450 were present across two sessions.

“Everything went well as usual. We call it a third-party exam. It is a promotion exam for the Head of Service. All their officers sat for the exam for the purpose of promotion,” Hamzat stated.

She clarified that the participants included staff from various paramilitary and service organizations under the Head of Service, such as immigration officers, fire fighters, and civil defence personnel.

The Director of Ade-Ola International School, Mercy Olaosegbe, also commended JAMB for maintaining high professional standards in the administration of the examination.
