The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Falgore, has condemned the gruesome killing of a woman and her six children in Kano State, describing the act as barbaric and deeply heartbreaking.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Kamaluddeen Shawai, Falgore expressed shock over the incident and welcomed the arrest of three suspects by the Nigeria Police Force.

The Speaker urged security agencies to carry out a thorough and holistic investigation to ensure that all individuals involved in the crime are identified and prosecuted.

He commended the swift response of the police, stressing that crimes of such magnitude must not be tolerated or allowed to go unpunished in the state.

“This shocking incident committed against an innocent woman and her children is painful and unacceptable. While we commend the police for arresting suspects, investigations must be exhaustive until justice is fully served,” Falgore said.

Falgore also aligned himself with the call by Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, for a prompt, transparent, and diligent handling of the case, noting that such steps are necessary to reassure residents of the government’s commitment to protecting lives and property.

He further assured that the Kano State House of Assembly would continue to support security agencies in their efforts to maintain peace, security, and public confidence across the state.
