The Kano State Roads Traffic Agency (KAROTA) has launched a staff verification exercise to detect ghost employees and determine the actual workforce size.

Key Points:

• Managing Director Hon. Faisal Mahmud Kabir emphasized the need to know the exact number of staff, especially since the agency had not conducted such an exercise in a long time.
• The verification will also inform training programs and the provision of modern operational facilities.
• Deputy Managing Director Alh. Auwalu Lawan Shu’aibu Aranposu, Chairman of the Verification Committee, reported that over 500 staff were screened on the first day.
• The exercise is being carried out in batches and will continue throughout the week, with staff cooperating in an orderly manner.
